After working in the communications field for nearly 20 years, Christen combined her internal communications expertise and her passion for employee wellness to create Work Place Renaissance.

Christen’s experiences have enabled her to lead communications efforts for nonprofits, government agencies, and privately-owned companies to develop external and internal communications strategies and marketing communications materials development.

Through Work Place Renaissance, Christen helps organizations create a positive company culture where employees feel valued, appreciated, and engaged.

Christen is deeply passionate about the issues that employees face in the workplace and she believes that solutions lie in organizational leadership’s ability to lead with empathy, support, and courage. She believes that by investing in solutions that support employee well-being, company culture, and employee engagement, leaders show that they have a deep understanding and respect for the needs of their most important asset - their employees.

Christen’s work in promotional video scripting for the millennial retirement savings short commercial, Katie’s Story, and other videos created to promote and encourage retirement savings for savers of all ages has been recognized by the Communicator Awards, Stevie® Awards, CINDY Awards, LACP Awards, and more. Christen has delivered impactful planning and execution of awards programs, internal communications strategies, launch strategies, promotional video scripting, content development, editing, and communications lifecycle for internal and external marketing communications pieces.

In her spare time, Christen enjoys spending time with her family, practicing yoga, and re-learning how to play the saxophone.
